Miyoko Onishi
Miyoko began her performing as a tenor banjoist for Shakeys Pizza in Kobe. She didn't plan on becoming a banjo player but when she found out that it payed more than being a server she took the job. With the assistance of a good trumpet player, Miyoko learned to play well enough to be a member of the Shakeys band. Within a year, a new Shakeys Pizza opened in Tokyo, and the Kobe band moved to the new Shakey's.
Since those early days, she has played at Tokyo Disneyland, Disney Sea as well as other venues in Japan.
